Summer Enrichment Scholarship:

WINDWARD CAPITAL Scholarship: Scholarships are provided to 10th and 11th graders in a public or private high school in St. Thomas, St. John, or St. Croix.  The student must be accepted in/or have applied to a summer enrichment program, have an average cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and demonstrate financial need. Undergraduate Scholarships: 

ANNA WALSH SCHOLAR Awards:  Approximately $10,000 will be disbursed this year in one-year, renewable grants to students that have applied to or are already enrolled in any accredited college or university.

ARTRELLE M. WHEATLEY Scholarship:  Will provide one year’s full tuition to the University of the Virgin Islands to a student with an outstanding record in community service who will have completed two semesters at UVI.

CORAL WORLD Scholarship:  Will provide a scholarship of $3,500 to a student pursuing a four-year degree in science in any accredited college or university.  First consideration will be given to applicants in the fields of environmental science or marine biology.

GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT SYSTEM Scholarships: Scholarships provided to graduating high school students who are dependents of contributing members of GERS.  Scholarships are renewable for up to four years.  The amount of tuition support awarded is approximately $3,500 per student.  Up to three scholarships will be awarded.

HEAVY MATERIALS Scholarships:  Will provide 15 scholarships of up to $5,000 a year (for a maximum of 4 years) to promising young Virgin Islands residents to attend college, technical or vocational school.  The applicant or his/her guardian must have resided in the USVI for at least 10 years. Special consideration may be given to applicants who will make a commitment to return to the Virgin Islands.

HOSPITALITY SCHOLAR AWARD: Will provide a scholarship of up to $10,000 a year (for a maximum of 4 years) to a promising young Virgin Islands resident to attend college, technical or vocational school to prepare for a career in the hospitality or tourism industries. Special consideration may be given to applicants who will make a commitment to return to the Virgin Islands.

ISAAC AND REBECCA PAIEWONSKY Scholarship: Will provide an award of $2,000 a year for 4 years, to a graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School (CAHS).  Established over 50 years ago by Isidor and Charlotte Paiewonsky and Ralph and Ethel Paiewonsky in honor of their parents’ golden wedding anniversary, this scholarship has been awarded to a CAHS student every year for the past fifty-three years.

THEODORE E. SHARP SCHOLAR Awards:  A total of $2,000 in awards will be granted to students with outstanding records in community service that have applied to or are already enrolled in an accredited college or university.

TUNICK FAMILY FUND Scholarship:  Will provide an award of $1,000 to a student at the University of the Virgin Islands, with academic excellence and financial need who is pursuing an undergraduate degree in business.

WILLIAM OTTO AND SHARI DECKER MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS: Will provide up to $5,000 in scholarships to graduating students from Charlotte Amalie High School and/or Ivanna Eudora Kean High School with plans to major in music. Applicants must be available to audition with the committee if requested.

Graduate Scholarships:
In addition to the scholarships for undergraduate students, CFVI also has the following scholarships available for students pursuing graduate degrees:

LANA VENTO FUND Scholarships:  Will award scholarships to two Caribbean students ($5,000 in year one and $2,500 in year two).  Students must be enrolled in the Master of Marine & Environmental Science Program at the University of the Virgin Islands.

NSL 80th BIRTHDAY FUND Scholarship:  An award of $2,000 each year to a student pursuing graduate degrees in the humanities, the social sciences or the fine arts. (click here to view the NSL application)
