Partnering with the community is what we do. Since 1990 the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands has been accumulating assets given by you and your neighbors — and year after year CFVI has been increasing its support and grants to the people of our Territory.
    
In 2007, new initiatives, programs, and an additional $1.5 million in CFVI assets have all strengthened our outreach and impact in the community.

We've Been Active!

CFVI donated $1.2 million to help address needs throughout the territory, benefiting thousands of Virgin Islanders:

• $140,000+ for scholarships, student internships and mini-grants to USVI residents throughout the territory.
• $150,000+ in direct grants to teachers, schools and libraries; including: the Public Education Partnership, (PEP), at Pearl B. Larsen Elementary School, a renovated parent/teacher meeting room at Charlotte Amalie High School, the annual Laws of Life awards to high school students, Anderson Teacher Grants, and dictionaries and thesauruses for USVI 3rd and 7th graders.
• $300,000+ in grants and services for community projects; including: Habitat for Humanity, Magens Bay Watershed Preserve, Charlotte Amalie Restoration Effort, Caribbean Genealogy Library, and the USVI Directory of Community Organizations.
• $110,000+ in grants for health; including: family emergency grants, cancer patients and elderly assistance, pediatric equipment, and the Charaf heliport at Schneider Regional Medical Center.
• $375,000+ in grants and services for youth and family programs; including: after-school and summer programs, enhanced foster care, advocacy work for children and families, and early childhood education, including The Family Connection.
