Named Funds
Alexander A. Farrelly Milestone Fund
An unrestricted fund established in 1996 by the friends and family of Governor Farrelly to commemorate his birthday. In August 2003, CFVI’s board voted to give the right of advice to Mrs. Joan Harrigan- Farrelly, widow of the late Governor. The Fund supports initiatives of the Foundation on behalf of the children, youth and families in our community, with a special focus on early childhood.
Americas Management Services Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2002 to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural and environmental well-being of the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands and to promote philanthropy in the USVI.
Anderson Family Fund for Education
Established in 2002, the purpose of this donor-advised fund is to improve public education for economically disadvantaged children in the USVI by supporting educational enrichment programs unavailable as part of the regular school curriculum. The annual Anderson Teacher Grants program is a project of the fund.
Anguilla Community Foundation Fund
Established in 1999 to assist the newly established Anguilla Community Foundation, this field of interest fund supports initiatives, which enhance the lives of children, youth and families in Anguilla.
Anna Greene Walsh Scholars Fund
A scholarship fund established in 1996 from the estate of Anna Greene Walsh to give scholarships to college students from the Virgin Islands. Ms. Walsh had been a social worker in New York City who retired to St. Thomas.
Annika and Gordon’s Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2004 to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural and environmental well-being of the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands and to promote philanthropy in the USVI. The fund has focused on the needs of children in foster homes in the USVI.
Artrelle M. Wheatley Scholarship Fund
A memorial scholarship fund established in 1997 by the family and friends of Artrelle M. Wheatley, to provide scholarships to students at the University of the Virgin Islands who demonstrate the spirit of community service. Mrs. Wheatley devoted 24 years of her professional life to UVI where she dedicated herself to setting an example of excellence for students.
Atlantic Southern Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2004 to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural and environmental well-being of the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Barry Law Enforcement Scholarship Fund
A scholarship fund established in 1999 by the family and friends of Wilfred A. Barry to honor his memory. The fund will grant scholar awards to Virgin Island youth interested in careers in law enforcement.
Beacon Community Learning Center Fund
Established by the Beacon Schools of the Virgin Islands, Inc. in 2002, this endowment fund will provide annual funding for the Beacon after school programs.
Beulah and Joseph Potter Memorial Fund
Established by the family and friends of Beulah Potter to honor her memory. The Fund is used for educational purposes at the elementary school level.
British Virgin Islands and A.H. Riise Community Fund
A field-of-interest fund established in 2007. The purpose of the fund is to enhance the work of not-for-profit organizations in the British Virgin Islands and enrich the lives of children, youth and families in the British Virgin Islands.
British Virgin Islands Educational Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 1999 to support educational initiatives in the British Virgin Islands, with a particular focus on the island of Tortola.
Brown and Baecher Families Fund
A fund established in 2003 by Richard Brown and Dee Baecher-Brown. The purpose of this donor-advised fund is to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural and environmental well-being of the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands with a focus on issues of social justice.
C.A.R.E (Charlotte Amalie Revitalization Effort)
A donor-advised fund established by the Charlotte Amalie Revitalization Effort to assist with efforts to develop and implement a community-supported vision for Charlotte Amalie, Frenchtown, the Harbor, and Hassel Island through key public and civic organizations.
Caribbean Historic and Genealogic Library Fund
A field-of-interest fund established in 2000 by Mrs. Elisabeth S. Sharp to support the establishment and operation of the Caribbean Genealogy Library in the USVI.
Charaf Family Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2002 by Ricardo J. and Josefina Charaf. The fund provides monies to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural and environmental well-being of the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands and to promote philanthropy in the USVI.
Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute Fund
A donor-advised fund to support the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital capital campaign to build the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute.
Children’s Trust of the Virgin Islands
A field of interest fund established in 2005 by attorney Tom Bolt, Trustee of the George R. Morris Boystown Trust. The mission of the fund is to promote the well-being of -- and to empower -- children, youth and families in the US Virgin Islands (especially those with greatest need – of improved education, economic security, health, and safety) through research, media outreach, public education and advocacy, to involve the community as non-partisan, non-profit advocates for children’s needs and rights.
Children’s Education, Health and Safety Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2002 by the Prosser ICC Foundation to provide assistance to low income children in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The fund donated 140 American Red Cross First Aid Kits to public elementary and middle schools in the Territory as the 2004 Fund program. In 2005 the Fund donated scales for the nurses offices in the public middle schools on St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John.
Citibank Community Fund
A field-of-interest fund established in 1998 by The Citicorp Foundation to provide assistance and support for low-income residents of the Virgin Islands and to encourage career development of Virgin Island youth.
Clearwater Charitable Fund for Youth
Established in 2005 by Clearwater Consulting Concepts, LLP, this fund’s primary focus is to support athletic activities for youth in the US Virgin Islands. A special interest of the fund is youth golf initiatives.
Community Service Fund
A field-of-interest fund established in 2002 by businessmen and women who are EDC beneficiaries. The purpose of the fund is to maximize the benefit of community service in the revitalization of our community. The fund supports the CFVI Junior Angels community service program.
Coral World Scholarship Fund
A scholarship fund established in 2004 to encourage the study of math and science, with a particular emphasis on marine sciences. Graduates of Virgin Islands high schools are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The scholarship may be applied to the tuition of any accredited college or university.
Craig and Sally Angels Fund
An unrestricted fund named in 2002 by the Board of Directors of CFVI to honor the generosity of donors Craig and Sally Darash. The fund supports the general purpose of CFVI in its efforts to enhance the quality of life for children and families. In 2004 and 2005 the fund provided the cash prizes for the annual KIDS COUNT “Silverbells and Cockleshells” award recipients.
Dictionary Project Fund
A field of interest fund established in 2003. The purpose of the Fund is to enhance the educational experience of students in the U.S. Virgin Islands. One of the key purposes of the Fund is to supply dictionaries annually to all 3rd grade students in the USVI public schools.
Driehaus Community Development Fund I
Established in 2002 to support the beautification of public spaces in the U.S. Virgin Islands, this donor- advised funds will support community projects including the rehabilitation of Coconut Square (Roosevelt Park) on the island of St. Thomas.
Driehaus Community Development Fund II
A donor-advised fund established in 2002 by Driehaus Capital Management (USVI) LLC. The fund provides monies to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural and environmental well-being of the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Earle B. Ottley Leadership Institute Fund
A fund to honor the memory of the late Earle B. Ottley and the legacy of his economic, social and political leadership in the Virgin Islands. The purpose of the Institute is to develop and strengthen leadership abilities in youth.
Feuerzeig Family Fund
A donor-advised fund established by Henry L. and Penny Feuerzeig in 2002. The Fund will assist efforts to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural, and environmental well-being of the residents of the Virgin Islands, with special attention to issues related to early childhood development.
Founding Benefactors Fund
Established by Ambassador Henry L. Kimelman and Mrs. Charlotte Kimelman to create the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) in December 1990. The mission of CFVI is to ensure the highest quality of life for both present and future generations in the Virgin Islands.
Grishman Family Community Fund
Established by Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Grishman in 2001, this donor-advised fund supports community programs targeted toward education and people with disabilities.
Habitat for Humanity USVI Fund
This field-of-interest fund was established in 2004. The purpose of the fund is to build housing for low-income families living in the USVI.
Hebrew Congregation Fund
An unrestricted fund established in 1997 by the membership of the Hebrew Congregation of St. Thomas to support the general purposes of the Community Foundation.
Henry U. Wheatley Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2004 by Henry U. Wheatley. The Fund assists efforts to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural, and environmental well-being of the residents of the Virgin Islands.
Hodge Senior Citizen Assistance Fund
Funded by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of the U.S. Virgin Islands through the class action of Lawrence E. Hodge, Gloria Davis and the late Gerald E. Hodge, Sr., this fund will support programs and initiatives to enhance the lives of senior citizens in the US Virgin Islands.
Horse Rescue and Retirement Fund
Established in 2004 this field of interest fund is to provide monies for a program of horse rescue for neglected, abandoned, abused or otherwise unwanted horses and to provide rehabilitation and placement, or retirement, either locally or stateside.
Hospice Fund of the Virgin Islands
An advised fund in development, opened in 2003 to support efforts and initiatives which will provide hospice services to residents of the United States Virgin Islands.
Humane Society of St. Thomas
Established in 2003 to support the capital campaign to build an Animal Care Campus on St. Thomas. The fund will match up to $500,000 in donations toward the initiative “Paws to Care For A More Humane Future.”
Hupprich Family Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2003 by Fred and Sharon Hupprich to support the general purposes of the community with an emphasis on youth and education.
Isidor and Charlotte Paiewonsky Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2004 by the families of Isidor and Charlotte Paiewonsky to honor their memory. The fund supports the general purposes of the community with an emphasis on youth and education. The annual Isaac and Rebecca Paiewonsky Scholarship is a project of the fund.
ISS Educational Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2003 to enhance the educational experiences of children and youth in the USVI. Annually, the fund provides scholarships to high school students for attendance at academically rigorous summer enrichment programs and a speakers’ bureau in the high schools.
Island Heritage Insurance Company Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2002 to support the general purposes of the community with an emphasis on youth and education. Targeted use of the fund includes summer internships for Virgin Island youth enrolled in college.
Jean T. Robertson Fund
A donor-advised fund established by Mrs. Jean T. Robertson in 1998 to support not-for-profit organizations providing important services in the US Virgin Islands.
JMP Foundation Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2006 by Joe Papa and Marylee Pratnicki. The fund provides monies to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural and environmental well-being of the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Joanne E. Bozzuto Fund
A donor-advised fund established by Joanne E. Bozzuto in 2003. The Fund will assist efforts to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural, and environmental well-being of the residents of the Virgin Islands.

Judith A. Towle Environmental Studies Fund
A fund established in 2003 by the board of directors of the Mukti Fund to recognize the work, interests and commitment of Judith A. Towle in increasing awareness in the Eastern Caribbean about environmental issues that transcend the boundaries of any single island or island state. The Fund - in perpetuity - will support environmental studies and activities addressing shared environmental issues in the Eastern Caribbean principally in the U.S. and British Virgin islands and in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
Kenneth and Leitner Greiner Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2003 to assist young families with their preschool children, and strengthen the role of fathers in families and the community. The purpose of the fund is to strengthen family bonds and to assist the families with their needs.
Kenzie Financial Management Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2002. The fund will support initiatives in the USVI with a special focus on issues related to health care and hospitals.

A donor-advised fund established in 2007 in memory of Margaret Ann White-Lewis. The purpose of the fund is to provide financial assistance and support, education and information to people living with cancer and their families and caregivers.
Margate Friends of the Children Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2002. The purpose of the Fund is to provide monies to enhance the educational, physical, social, and cultural well-being of the children and families in the Virgin Islands.

A donor-advised fund established in 2002. The funds will be used to enhance the quality of health care in the USVI with a particular focus on upgrading trauma care services provided by hospitals.

Nigel O. Hodge Foundation Fund
A donor-advised fund established by Josephine Hodge in 1996 in memory of her child, Nigel O. Hodge. The fund supports families in the Caribbean with children who have cancer or other serious illnesses.
Norm and Joni Jones Fund
A donor-advised fund established by Norm and Joni Jones in 2003. The Fund will assist efforts to enhance the well-being of the residents of the Virgin Islands, with a special emphasis on education.
NSL 80th Birthday Fund
A scholarship fund created by Norma S. Levin in celebration of her 80th birthday. This fund, established in 2002, provides an annual grant of $2,000 to a Virgin Islands student pursuing graduate studies in the humanities, social sciences or the fine arts.
Peter and Patricia Gruber Foundation Fund
A donor-advised fund established by The Peter Gruber Foundation in 1999 to support the general purposes of the community. The fund supports the “Laws of Life” ethics essay competition in the secondary public schools on St. Thomas and St. Croix.
Rapid Response Fund
Established by the West Indian Company Limited in 1999 to provide for one-time emergency needs of families for which there is no government assistance or other available funding.
Robert and Linda Brown Family Fund
A fund established in 2003 by Bob and Linda Brown. This donor-advised fund will focus on the needs of infants and early childhood development initiatives. The “Newborn Safety Net Account” for the neonatal unit of the Roy L. Schneider Hospital is a project of the Fund.
Robert D. Sparks Family Fund
A fund established in 2002 by the Sparks Family. This donor-advised fund will provide monies to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural and environmental well-being of the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Robert O’Connor Fund
A donor-advised fund was established in 2006. The funds will be used to enhance the quality of health care in the USVI with a particular focus on upgrading trauma care services provided by the Schneider Regional Medical Center.
St. Croix Financial Center Fund
Established in 2002, the purpose of this donor-advised fund is to improve public education for economically disadvantaged children in the USVI, with a particular focus on supporting educational enrichment programs on the island of St. Croix. The “Public Education Partnership” with Pearl B. Larsen Elementary School on St. Croix is a program of the fund.
Schmidt-Holdsworth Family Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2004 to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural and environmental well-being of the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
South Bay Partners Fund
A fund established in 2003 to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural and environmental well-being of the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands, to strengthen the not-for-profit community in the territory and to promote philanthropy in the USVI. The Fund produced a survey of the needs of the not-for-profit organizations and the first annual comprehensive “Directory of Community Organizations.” The fund also provides capacity-building assistance to strengthen Virgin Island non-profits. A special focus of the fund is early childhood education.
Sparco Fund
This donor-advised fund was established in 2003 to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural and environmental well-being of the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands, with an emphasis on issues related to sports, education, the arts, religion, and persons with disabilities.
Susannah A. Knight Fund
A donor-advised fund established by Randolph H. Knight in 2002 to honor his mother Susannah on her 90th birthday. The fund will support students and other individuals or programs in the interest of furthering athletic excellence in the US Virgin Islands.
The Family Connection
A fund established in 2003 by a member of the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands. The purpose of this fund is to enrich the early child care environment of the USVI, including efforts to provide training and support for parents and for early child care providers and to support initiatives which will the provide young at-risk children with an enriching educational environment and empower families with young children to achieve self-sufficiency.
Theodore E. Sharp Fund
A memorial scholarship fund established in 1997 by the family and friends of Theodore E. Sharp, to provide awards to outstanding graduates of V.I. high schools. The awards acknowledge community service and academic excellence.
Tunick Family Fund
A fund established in 2002 by James and Rebecca Tunick. This donor-advised fund will assist the youth of the Virgin Islands with a focus on supporting their interest in pursuing an education in business management.
USVI Education and Assistance Fund
Established in 2005 by VRBO International, LLC, this donor-advised fund focuses on children, youth and families in the Virgin Islands, with a special focus on enhancing the quality of public education and public libraries. Health and safety issues for Virgin Islands residents is another priority for this fund.
VI 100 Club
A field of interest fund established in 2005 to provide equipment and training to the Police Department and to support families of fallen Officers in the Territory.
VI Junior Golf Fund
A field of interest fund established in 2006 to support golf programs for public school students.
Virgin Islands Cancer Patient Fund
Established in 2005 by International Capital and Management Company, this fund provides a broad range of financial assistance to cancer patients in the USVI who are uninsured or who have extraordinary needs for which they have insufficient funds.
Vivienne and Richard Silver Fund
A donor-advised fund established in 2007 by Vivienne and Richard Silver. This donor-advised fund will provide monies to enhance the educational, physical, social, cultural and environmental well-being of the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Willard R. Sparks Family Fund
